Jay Peet is the Vice President of Business Development at Peak 1031 Exchange, where he is responsible for bringing in new business, advising clients on 1031 rules and strategies, and helping them set up their 1031 exchanges.

Jay started his career in real estate over 20 years ago, working for the nation’s largest title insurance company. During that time, he learned how to identify and mitigate title issues that can arise in a transaction, saving time and money for buyers and sellers.

In 2005, Jay became a Certified 1031 Exchange Specialist and helped taxpayers defer capital gains on well over $1 billion in real property transactions. During his tenure as a 1031 exchange specialist, he worked with and taught classes for hundreds of CPAs and attorneys and thousands of realtors across the state of California.

Jay can assist clients with any type of “safe harbor” 1031 exchange, including simultaneous, delayed, reverse, built-to-suit, or any other combination of exchanges.
